About

Welcome to MOB, “The Manufacturing Operations Blog”. This is a blog about the subject of Manufacturing Operations. To be more specific, we intend to cover topics that concern the operational staff, the Production Operations, Production Supervisors, Plant Managers, Maintenance Managers and Quality personnel. Because of the times we live in and frankly because of the background of the moderator, manufacturing IT and IT related topics would be covered generously. However, this is a not a blog to announce the product roadmap of any software vendor or even automation and control vendors for that matter.

The objective is to serve as a community blog that invites all community members- software vendors, automation and control vendors, customers in various manufacturing industries and analysts and general observers.

Write for MOB:

We would like to invite all of you to join us, not just to read and comment but also to contribute. We would like to invite you to pen your thoughts in half a page to several pages and send those across. We’ll publish your views and would invite others to provide you feedback.

There are some basic terms & conditions

- The article has to be original and you should own the copyright to it.

- It should not contain any type of sales pitch or sales message for any product, software or hardware.

- By posting the article here, you are giving full rights to “ManufacturingOperationsBlog.com”.

Over time, we would provide permanent user ids to regular contributors. Any regular ‘Customer Bloggers’ would likely get star treatment as we would like to hear from them the most. Analysts would come second.

About Me: The Moderator

My name is Amit Kumar Singh. I work for Oracle Corporation as a Director –Product Strategy. My responsibility includes Manufacturing Operations Center, one of the new products Oracle has launched in this space.

This blog is not limited to Oracle as a company or Oracle Manufacturing Operations Center as a product, even though my bias may be visible. I do intend to write on all topics that come to my mind, mostly related to Manufacturing Operations. If you would like me to cover any specific topic, would be happy to hear from you.

You can contact me by sending an email at manufacturingoperationsblog@gmail.com.
